Getting there

How do I get to Playa Venao?
Option 1: Fly into Panama City (PTY) — we arrange a scenic 5-hour private transfer through the Azuero Peninsula, or you can take a short domestic flight to Pedasí (30 min) followed by a 40-minute ground transfer. We send full travel instructions after booking.
Do I need a visa?
Most nationalities can enter Panama visa-free for 90–180 days. Check your country's requirements before booking.

Booking & payment

A non-refundable deposit of $500 secures your spot. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your arrival date.
What's your cancellation policy?
Cancel 60+ days before arrival: full refund minus the $500 deposit. Cancel 30–59 days: 50% refund. Under 30 days: no refund. We strongly recommend travel insurance.
Can I come solo?
Absolutely — most of our guests come alone. The shared-casita option pairs you with another solo traveler of the same gender (or you can upgrade to a private room).

The experience

What if I've never done yoga?
Perfect. Sessions are designed for all levels, including complete beginners. Our instructors adapt every class.
Do I need surf experience?
Not at all. Playa Venao has one of the most beginner-friendly breaks in Central America — long, mellow waves on a sandy bottom. Our local instructors will have you standing on day one.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, reliable Wi-Fi is available in common areas. We encourage a digital detox, but we won't hide the router.
What's the weather like?
Playa Venao sits on Panama's Pacific coast — expect daytime highs around 30–32 °C (86–90 °F) with warm evenings. Dry season runs roughly January through April; green season (May–December) brings afternoon showers and emptier beaches.
Are there dietary accommodations?
Yes. Our kitchen handles vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and most allergy needs. Let us know when you book.
What should I pack?
Swimwear, reef-safe sunscreen, light breathable clothes, a rain jacket for green season, sandals, and a reusable water bottle. We provide yoga mats, towels, surf boards, and toiletries.

Health & safety

Is the area safe?
Playa Venao is a tight-knit surf and wellness community on the Azuero Peninsula. The area is quiet, welcoming, and well-known to international travelers.
Is there medical access nearby?
There are clinics in Pedasí (40 min) and a hospital in Chitré (1.5 hrs). We keep a first-aid kit on-site and have emergency contacts ready.
